Dave McCarry
Dave started his property investment journey in 2009 where he quickly realised that working with a dedicated property management professional who has a genuine desire to see your property goals come true can make all the difference.
From 2009-2018, Dave was a leading Mad Butcher store owner/ operator. Serving over 3500 customers each week, he is a well-regarded business owner and an industry innovator. Dave also spent several years as a licensed real estate salesperson for Wellington’s top preforming brand.
In addition to Dave’s deep connections throughout the Wellington community, he is an avid Golfer and the Convenor for First Kicks Football at Western Suburbs Football Club attaining “Convenor of the Year” 2020, 2022, 2023 and “Capital Football Volunteer of the Year” 2022.
As a qualified residential property manager, an accredited methamphetamine screener, and an accredited member of the Residential Property Managers Association of NZ, Dave continually invests time, money and thought into the latest best practices and legislative changes to ensure your investment is protected.

Roberta Zhao
With a Bachelor of Business from UNITEC, Roberta has been living in New Zealand for more than 18 years. She has a passion for property, and has been working in the real estate industry since 2000. Her role at Propertyscouts involves supporting property managers and always delivering a top-quality service to their owners, tenants, and tradespeople alike.
Ryan Weir
Ryan Weir is the Franchisor & Managing Director of Propertyscouts NZ. As a landlord himself, he understands the issues and what's most important to many property owners. As Franchisor, Ryan assists franchises by providing support and guidance around day-to-day queries and the running of their business.
Ryan first brought investment property at the age of 19, in his hometown of Dunedin. Ryan spent 10 years in the financial industry, covering many relationship management roles. In 2013, Ryan founded an Auckland property management company and successfully sold the business in 2020.
Ryan loves travelling and has an eye for improving property to enhance returns.
